Friend — I write to you today, not as an actor or a former (fictional) president, but as an American concerned about losing our Democratic Senate majority: Donald Trump just left Nevada where he held a MAGA rally to defeat Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D) in the race that will decide Senate control.
If Trump tips the scales in favor of his hand-picked extremist, Adam Laxalt (R) — if they defeat Sen. Cortez Masto — then Democrats will lose the Senate and Mitch McConnell will regain his iron grip on power.
I refuse to sit on the sidelines and watch our country return to the dark days where truth was thwarted by lies and conspiracies and where the selfish interests of deranged extremists reigned supreme. That’s why I need you to join me in fighting back against Trump and helping Sen. Cortez Masto protect this seat and our majority.
