(Boca Raton, Florida, June 13, 2016). Today, Larry Klayman, a former federal prosecutor and the founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch and a former U.S. Senate candidate in Florida, offered to represent pro bono the victims and victims’ families who were killed or seriously injured in the horrific Orlando Islamic terrorist attack of a gay nightclub.
Klayman had this to say: “We now know that the federal government recklessly dropped the ball in apprehending this terrorist and that he had traveled on at least two occasions to Saudi Arabia. Given the Saudi government’s documented and confirmed involvement in other terrorist attacks on American soil, it is more than likely that it was involved in some way in this one as well. Indeed, 17 of the 19 terrorists in the September 11, 2001, attack were Saudi nationals and the 9/11 Report confirms Saudi government involvement and complicity. Congress has now legislated that Saudi Arabia can be sued by victims.
“In addition, it has been reported that Sheikh Farrokh Sekaleshfar of the Husseini Islamic Center in Orlando preached recently that followers of Islam should kill homosexuals as required by the Quran and Sharia law. He and his mosque must also be held legally accountable. Now is not the time to turn the other cheek. It’s time for Christians and Jews to now stand up for their rights and not roll over to this evil ideology, as Islam is not a legitimate religion but a cult.
“As for disingenuous recent pronouncements by the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) that it abhors terrorism and the Orlando attack, I remind the public that the Quran teaches its followers to lie to further the will of the Muslim god, Allah. CAIR has previously been named as an unindicted co-conspirator in federal criminal terrorist cases.”
For those who want justice and compensation for their loss, my group Freedom Watch, a public interest group, will represent the gay victims and their families, and others who were injured, pro bono.
