The Israeli-Palestinian Dispute Is Only Partly About Land By Shadi Hamid The Atlantic May 25, 2019 Is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict fundamentally about land and territory? It is certainly partly about that. But when you hear the objections and grievances of both sides, the issue of who has what part of which territory doesn’t necessarily figure all that prominently. I recently took part in a study tour on religion and nationalism in Israel organized by the Philos Project. One Palestinian official whom we met told us, “I’m not going to compromise my dignity.” The problem with what we know…

Trump’s Public Enemies List Is an Impeachable Offense By David R. Lurie The Daily Beast May 25, 2019 Long before becoming president, Donald Trump called for the jailing of his adversaries. Aided by Attorney General William Barr, he may now actually be training the full force of federal law enforcement against his enemies, real or perceived. Unlike Richard Nixon, who acted in secret, Trump is corrupting the justice system openly and publicly. The seriousness of such a presidential abuse of power, and its potential for undermining the constitutional order, could well surpass any of the crimes detailed in…

By Larry Klayman WND May 25, 2019 When I was a young law student in 1973 at Emory University in Atlanta, the feminist movement was just beginning to take flight. Despite this, these were different times; people were less strident and polarized, and my classmates generally were focused on academics with the hope of landing a good-paying job after graduation. But this was also a time when much of our body politic was in flux. The Vietnam War was ending, and President Richard Nixon, caught up in the Watergate scandal, had resigned. But trumping all of this was a…

Before he can go, however, Stone must submit his “specific travel itinerary” to U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson. He also is not allowed to stray from that itinerary. The order from Jackson says there are two trips Stone wishes to take: June 6-8 to Tennessee and July…
