By Katie Pavlich Townhall August 31, 2017 “According to the unredacted portions of the transcripts, it appears that in April or early May of 2016, Mr. Comey had already decided he would issue a statement exonerating Secretary Clinton. That was long before FBI agents finished their work. Mr. Comey even circulated an early draft statement to select members of senior FBI leadership. The outcome of an investigation should not be prejudged while FBI agents are still hard at work trying to gather the facts,” the letter, signed by Chairman Chuck Grassley and Committee member Lindsey Graham states. “Conclusion first,…

Federal judge blocks enforcement of Texas’ ‘sanctuary cities’ law Fox News August 31, 2017 A federal judge blocked enforcement of much of a “sanctuary cities” law in Texas on Wednesday night, just days before it was set to go into effect. U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia blocked portions of Senate Bill 4 (SB 4) requiring local law enforcement departments to comply with federal requests to hold unauthorized immigrants in custody. Also blocked: a provision that stopped local departments from implementing policies that would “materially limit” enforcement of immigration laws, the Dallas News reported. Continue Reading…..

The cooperation is the latest indication that the federal probe into President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman is intensifying. It also could potentially provide Mueller with additional leverage to get Manafort to cooperate in the larger investigation into Trump’s campaign, as Trump does not have pardon power over…

Trump’s ‘Toughness’ Is an Insult to Law Enforcement National Review August 30, 2017 In pardoning Joe Arpaio, Trump has chosen to reward and highlight law enforcement at its very worst. First came the pardon of former Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio. While some segments of the president’s base cheered the move, it’s hard to find a law officer who has shown more contempt for the law itself. Continue Reading…..

San Francisco Chronicle August 29, 2017 In the aftermath of a right-wing rally Sunday that ended with anarchists chasing attendees from a downtown park, Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin urged UC Berkeley on Monday to cancel conservatives’ plans for a Free Speech Week next month to avoid making the city the center of more violent unrest. “I don’t want Berkeley being used as a punching bag,” said Arreguin, whose city has been the site of several showdowns this year between, on the one hand, the left and its fringe anarchist wing, and on the other, supporters of President Trump who…

The Washington Times August 29, 2017 California Democrats who whipped up opposition to the weekend’s free speech rallies had little to say after radical leftist protesters, led by the antifa movement, attacked police and Trump supporters on Sunday in Berkeley, injuring six. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who last week denounced the Patriot Prayer gathering in San Francisco as a “white supremacist rally,” had no public comment on the leftist violence. Neither did Rep. Barbara Lee of California, who joined other local Democrats last week at a press conference to condemn “bigotry and hate” ahead of what they called…

By Larry Klayman Newsmax August 29, 2017 I have been predicting that war would break out between the left and the right and the races for several years, ever since former President Barack Obama and his attorneys general, first Eric Holder and then Loretta Lynch, for political purposes, in my opinion, sought to inflame African-Americans and their leftist voters by repeatedly accusing predominantly white cops of racial profiling and discrimination in carrying out their law enforcement duties. This constant drumbeat spawned or gave oxygen to radical black groups such as Black Lives Matter, the New Black Panthers Party, Al…
