Two days after being freed from federal custody, rancher Cliven Bundy arrived at the entrance of Metro Police’s headquarters, trying to speak to Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo, asking him to protect civilians’ “life, liberty and property.”
The meeting did not take place, so Bundy, 71, went on with the scheduled news conference, which was in part a gathering of supporters who cheered the rancher’s remarks.
“Sheriff Lombardo,” said Bundy, appearing in front of his family, allies and reporters, “are you going to represent we the people, or are you going to represent the federal bureaucracy?”
